1. Who we are

Cherry Pickle Catering Co is a trading name of Holly Falkner, a sole trader. Our address is 7 Littleover Lane, Derby DE23 6JF. You can contact us at cherrypicklecatering@gmail.com or on 07718 424971.

These terms apply when you book a place at one of our events through this website. They don’t affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

2. Making a booking

  • Your booking is confirmed once payment has been taken and you receive a confirmation email from us. Please check your email address carefully — if you don’t receive a confirmation within 24 hours, check your spam folder and then contact us.
  • If online payment is not available for an event, submitting the form is a booking request only. Your place is confirmed once we’ve taken payment and emailed you.
  • By booking you confirm you are 18 or over and are authorised to book on behalf of everyone in your party.

3. Prices and payment

  • Prices are per person and shown in pounds sterling. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged.
  • Payment is taken securely through PayPal. You can pay with a PayPal account or a debit/credit card. We never see or store your card details.
  • The price includes everything described on the event page. Anything not listed there (for example additional drinks) is extra.

4. Cancellations by you

Because our events are leisure and catering services provided on a specific date, the 14-day cancellation period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 does not apply to your booking (regulation 28(1)(b)). Instead:

  • More than 14 days before the event: full refund.
  • 14 days or fewer before the event: no refund, as we will already have bought food and planned staffing for your place.
  • Transfers: you are welcome to give your place to someone else at any time — just email us their name and any dietary requirements.

To cancel, email us at cherrypicklecatering@gmail.com with your name and the event. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 14 days.

5. Cancellations or changes by us

  • Occasionally we may need to cancel or reschedule an event (for example due to illness, severe weather, or the venue becoming unavailable). If this happens we will tell you as soon as possible and offer you a place on the new date or a full refund — it’s your choice.
  • We may need to make small changes to the menu depending on seasonal availability. If a change affects your dietary requirements we will contact you beforehand.
  • Our responsibility is limited to refunding what you paid us; we are not responsible for other costs such as travel or accommodation.

6. Allergies and dietary requirements

  • Please tell us about any allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements for everyone in your party when you book.
  • We take allergies seriously and will do our best to accommodate them, but our food is prepared in a kitchen that handles all 14 major allergens listed in UK food law (celery, cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, tree nuts, peanuts, sesame, soya and sulphites). We cannot guarantee any dish is completely free from traces of allergens.
  • If you are unsure whether we can cater safely for you, please contact us before booking. Allergen information for every dish is available on request.

7. At the event

  • Please arrive at the time shown on the event page. We may not be able to hold food for late arrivals.
  • Where alcohol is served, under the Licensing Act 2003 it will only be served to guests aged 18 or over, and we may ask for ID (we follow Challenge 25).
  • We may refuse entry or ask anyone to leave whose behaviour is unsafe or disruptive, without a refund.

8. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited under English law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

9. Your information

We use the details you give us only to manage your booking. See our privacy policy for how we handle your data, including allergy information and payments through PayPal.

10. Complaints

If something isn’t right, please email us and we’ll do our best to put it right quickly. If we can’t resolve it between us, you may be able to take your claim to the small claims court (in England and Wales, through gov.uk). Free advice is available from Citizens Advice.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
